Highclere Castle Gin has selected the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust (QCT) as our official charity partner. Highclere Castle Gin will work in partnership with QCT to support young leaders and to help further their positive impact around the Commonwealth.
QCT was selected due to their outstanding operations throughout the global family of Commonwealth nations, home to 2.4 billion people of which 60% are under the age of 30.
Highclere Castle Gin is proud to be a sponsor and promoter of such a positive vision manifested by QCT’s Patron, Her Majesty The Queen.
“We sometimes think the world’s problems are so big that we can do little to help. On our own, we cannot end wars or wipe out injustice, but the cumulative impact of thousands of small acts of goodness can be bigger than we imagine.” -Her Majesty The Queen, our Patron
The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust (QCT) launched on April 21st, 2018, in recognition of Her Majesty The Queen’s lifetime of service to others and her love for the Commonwealth and its young people. The Commonwealth is a global family of 56 countries, home to 2.4 billion people, of which 60% are under the age of 30.
We put young Commonwealth leaders at the centre of everything we do, and provide their organisations with flexible funding, practical tools and support, and a vibrant network to help them transform their communities, across the areas of agriculture & food, education & employability, environment, health, and inclusion.
Less than 0.1% of international aid goes to leaders like them, the ones most affected by the challenges and with solutions that work. Their collective potential is enormous. With your support, we can unlock it.
QCT provides
Flexible Funding
Flexible funding enables Young Leaders and their organisations to invest where it will have the best effect. We then work closely with them to monitor performance regularly and focus on impact and results. We fund organisations at a critical time, where investment makes a big difference to scaling and sustainability.
Our 2-year Youth Ventures Programme provides flexible funding, alongside the practical support and access to our global network outlined below.
Our Collaborative Connections Programme is at a planning stage. It will offer support to groups of Young Leaders working together on specific collaborations for the benefit of the communities they serve.
Practical Tools and Support
We work side by side with Young Leaders and their teams to identify key areas for organisational improvement.
Together we assess the ‘what’, ‘why’ and ‘how’. We follow this with bespoke training and practical advice to help Young Leaders build resilient systems and strengthen their organisations. This makes their organisations more sustainable and attractive to funders, and ultimately delivers more value for their communities.
Connection to a Global Network
We provide access to a mission-aligned global network of over 850 Young Leaders who are driving positive change. This world-wide connection helps Young Leaders support each other and access insights and resources to further their work and impact. Every United Nations Sustainable Development Goal and 54 of the 56 Commonwealth countries are represented here. Togo and Gabon joined in June 2022 and QCT is working on including representatives of these countries on the Global Network.
